I am always trying to find new ways to teach my daughter new things.  Baby sign language is a fun way to do this.  When we are playing I say the word of the toy like baby or ball and I also sign the word.  It really works.  When my daughter was eight months we started this game.  She started trying to sign at nine ten months and now that she is a year old she is very verbal and when she has trouble with a bigger word she signs to communicate with me.  we sign things like I love you to baby doll and hot like the soup is hot.

here are some easy ones if you want to try them

This is the sign for love

This is the sign for milk you move your hands up and down for this one

This is the sign for okay

Those are just a few sign you can find lots more online or in sign language books or guides there are also some really cool books just for baby signing

Awesome way to get slivers out

Getting slivers out can be very tricky trying to use things like tweezers.  But I just found this really cool way to get slivers out without any squeezing pinching or tweezers.  The secret is bananas! You take a banana eat it and save the peel.  Then you take the peel and cut a small piece that covers the sliver or splinter.  Then before you go to bed you tape the banana peel on to the area with the sliver.  When you wake up the splinter or sliver will be gone.  The banana peel will suck out the sliver as it starts to dry out.  It really works! Banana band aids for your sliver.
